I was born in London and emigrated to Australia when I was twenty five.  A few years later I moved to New Zealand and eventually became a citizen of that lovely country.

From the age of eighteen and for every other decade since, I have battled with re-occurring cancer and won.  I un-fondly refer to it as ‘my faithful friend’.   In an ironic way I think this unfortunate life experience stood me in good stead when I needed to find the resources to support Adam in his fight with ‘the toad’, serious bad health.

Most of my working life has been spent in the clothing industry.  Training first in the UK as a buyer in ladies fashion I then moved to Australia where I became the fashion promoter for a chain of small dress stores, then in New Zealand I took up the position of fashion coordinator for a large department store.

I returned to England with my husband, where we planned to set up a business of our own.  After the breakup of the marriage I returned once more to New Zealand where resuming my career I was better able to support my son and myself.  Soon after returning to England, Adam has his fateful road accident.

In my late fifties I returned to my studies and received a BA degree in Literature.  Since then I have published a book called Journey to the Self which is the story of my life experience, travels, and career.  I have also written a collection of small pieces entitled Collage.

I now live in Hertfordshire where I am still writing, gathering words together that please me and still traveling in spirit.
